Riding with the edge of the tips and the body position opposite to the direction of navigation.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Bridles:<\/strong> all the lines of a kite intertwined by knots and\/or pulleys.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>C<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Choppy:<\/strong> rough sea, uncomfortable water peaks for navigation.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Chicken loop:<\/strong> loop that connects the kite to our harness.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>D<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>De-power<\/strong>: the kite&#8217;s ability to lose power.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>F<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Front roll:<\/strong> maneuver consisting of a 360-degree rotation forward in the air.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Front lines:<\/strong> leading lines.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Footstraps:<\/strong> foot bindings.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Flex:<\/strong> flexibility of a board.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Foil<\/strong>: kite resembling a paraglider with self-inflating cells.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Freestyle:<\/strong> a style of riding that involves performing tricks in the air.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>H<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Hang time:<\/strong> time a kite stays in the air during a jump.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Hooked<\/strong>: connected to the kite. <strong>Unhooked:<\/strong> disconnected from the kite.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>K<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Kicker:<\/strong> ramp, either natural from the wave or manufactured with materials.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Kiteloop:<\/strong> performing a full loop with the kite, making it pass through the entire power zone (warning: very dangerous).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Keel or fins:<\/strong> fins on the board that improve stability and turning response.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>O<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Off-shore:<\/strong> refers to the wind blowing from land to sea.<\/li>\n<li><strong>On-shore:<\/strong> refers to the wind blowing from sea to land.<\/li>\n<li><strong>One pump:<\/strong> refers to kites that inflate from a single valve.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>P<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Pigtails:<\/strong> ends of the lines and bridles for connection.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pre-lines:<\/strong> the segment of the line from the bar to the lines. They usually have floats.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pads:<\/strong> foot pads.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pop:<\/strong> the board&#8217;s ability to facilitate take-off from the water.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>R<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Raley:<\/strong> maneuver involving jumping with the kite at a 45-degree angle, throwing the legs backward to achieve a horizontal position.
